The College of Engineering (COE) at Peking University seeks dynamic new tenured and tenure-track faculty members and researchers (at all ranks) for 2020.

The college houses Department of Mechanics and Engineering Sciences, Department of Energy and Resources Engineering, Department of Biomedical Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Department of Aerospace Engineering, the State Key Laboratory of Turbulence and Complex Systems, and nearly 20 research institutions. It also includes interdisciplinary research centers such as Beijing Innovation Center for Engineering Science and Advanced Technology, Center for Applied Physics and Technology, and International Research Center of Natural Gas Hydrate.

Job Requirements

Applicants for tenure-track faculty members are expected to possess a Ph.D. degree from an internationally well-known university, a demonstrated record of research accomplishments, and hold a formal teaching or research position in an internationally well-known university, research institution or R&D departments in companies. The successful candidates must also have good academic ethics and team spirit and stand out from peers in their specialized research fields.

Applicants for tenured faculty members should hold established academic or research positions in a nationally or internationally reputational university, an outstanding record of teaching and research accomplishments and good academic ethics and team spirit.

Successful candidates for research positions are expected to possess a Ph.D. degree in relevant subjects, have good research experience and influential research accomplishments, and the capability of applying for and carrying out scientific research projects independently.
