From November 6th to 8th, 2020, the CSTAM Doctoral Students’ Forum on Mechanics was held at Peking University.
The forum was hosted by Chinese Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics (CSTAM), and jointly organized by the Department of Mechanics and Engineering Sciences in the College of Engineering at Peking University and College of Aerospace Science and Engineering at Beihang University.
The 2020 CSTAM Doctoral Students’ Forum on Mechanics
The forum consists of plenary reports, keynote reports, and ordinary reports. Due to the epidemic, ten sub-forums were taking place online in addition to the five on-site forums.
A total of 379 submissions of doctoral student reports were received from various universities in China. After the review by the Forum Program Committee, 110 offline papers and 182 online papers were finally accepted.
Research areas of the reports include solid mechanics, fluid mechanics, dynamics and control, engineering mechanics, biomechanics, aerospace engineering, interdisciplinary mechanics and other mechanical disciplines. Four well-known scholars and fifteen young researchers were invited to give reports.
This forum provided the participating teachers and students an opportunity to know the latest progress and development trends in the frontier fields of mechanics and enhanced the academic exchanges among doctoral students.
