Recently, invited by the editor-in-chief I. Diner of the International Journal of Energy Research (IJER), Prof. Xinrong Zhang from the College of Engineering of Peking University serve as the only associate editor of the journal. He will be responsible for the review of daily manuscripts of the journal as well as the frontier research issue. Zhang has become the first researcher in the mainland China to serve in this position.
Founded in 1977, IJER is committed to providing a multidisciplinary communication platform for exploring various issues arising in energy research. It aims to cover the scope of energy production, conversion, management, protection, systems, technology and applications. In recent years, it has focused on the conservation theories and technologies of traditional energy, and the development of theory, systems, technologies and applications of new energy. The journal's latest SCI impact factor is 3.009.
Prof. Zhang is a well-known researcher in the thermodynamic cycle and heat and mass transfer. He has made pioneering research achievements in the fields of super/near critical fluid dynamics and heat transfer, micro-nanophase phase change heat transfer, and new functional fluid materials. In recent years, his research team has mainly focused on the production, transmission, storage, conversion and utilization of renewable thermal energy, advanced thermal energy utilization in construction and industrial processes, super cold chain of fresh agricultural products and high-quality hot and cold processing. He has published more than 180 papers in international journals, and has authorized and applied for more than 60 patents.
