The Teaching Demonstration Contest for Young Teachers has been an annual event since 2000. It is jointly organized by the PKU Labor Union, Office of Teaching Affairs, Office of Human Resources, Graduate School and the Center for Modern Education Technology. It aims to provide an opportunity for PKU’s younger teachers to present teaching skills and exchange ideas on education.
This year’s contest was arranged under two categories: Humanities and Social Sciences, and Science and Technology. Thirty-six teachers from 18 of PKU’s colleges (including departments, institutes and centers) participated in the competition. The bilingual teaching of some professors and teachers was the highlight of this year.
The judging panel, made up of renowned professors and experts in the related fields, picked four first prize winners, four second prizes, six third prizes and 22 additional award recipients.
