    Peking University Open Day 2011

  • High school students were seen roaming the Peking University campus on April 16 during the university’s Open Day. The large arena in front of PKU Hall was full of displays by individual schools, departments and colleges to encourage prospective students.

In particular, the College of Engineering attracted hundreds of eyes with its appealing exhibition area right in front of PKU Hall.

The mission of the College of Engineering was to give visitors a chance to absorb the university’s atmosphere and find out more about the admissions process, available courses and the college’s facilities. In order to achieve this, staff and current students were on hand all day to answer any questions about the application procedure, studying at the college, and the work of career services.

All six departments of COE created their own exhibition boards about their individual faculty members, research areas and academic programs.
